I create because it brings me joy, a sense of calm and confidence. The urge to create comes naturally but creating something that felt gravitational to you was where the challenge lied. In discovering how I could create something you would love I had to reflect on what I love, what comes natural to me. Subjects that could challenge me but not intimidate my flame. This is how my enthusiasm for illustrating black woman in fashion and beauty flourished. Black women are my inspiration. They have always ignited a desire to be expressive and bold because they are unafraid to stand out. My objective is to highlight their perseverance and jubilation through self-expression.
